Frequently Asked Questions

How long should I grow out my hair?

If this is your first time waxing, you need to stop shaving for at least 2-3 weeks. Hair should be ¼ inch long. The wax needs to be able to grip onto the hair. Hair that is too short will make the service more uncomfortable and you won’t get great results. The hardest part about getting waxed is NOT shaving but it is worth it!

How do I prepare for my wax session?

DO NOT SHAVE! Please exfoliate regularly prior to your service. Exfoliating will help any hairs trapped under the skin to move to the surface. Avoid working out, saunas, or spray tanning immediately before your service.

My hair is long. Should I trim?

NO TRIMMING. Trimming typically makes the hair too short to get waxed.

How do I treat my skin after to maintain the results?

Treating your hair follicles/skin in between your services is how you maintain great results. Healthy & hydrated skin waxes best. I have a full line of “Waxer Friendly” products to choose from for your At-Home Care needs.

Can I get a Spray Tan?

Please get spray tanned AFTER getting waxed. Waxing removes the top layer of dead skin that spray tans adhere to.

Can I wax while on my cycle?

Yes. However, please be aware that the service could feel more uncomfortable. I recommend scheduling your bikini service on an “off cycle” week. If you have to get waxed on your “on cycle” week, please come prepared with a fresh tampon or diva cup inserted. No bodily fluid should ever touch the wax table.

I am on medication. Can I still get waxed?

Numerous medications that treat the skin are not compatible with waxing. Other medications can cause sensitivity, lifting or burning of the skin. Please refer to the Medication Chart. Your safety is a priority.
